On 6 and 7 November, held in Belgrade a workshop named "Serbia towards the European integration", organized by the Local Technical Unit (UTL) of the Italian Cooperation in Serbia.

After a general description of the new instrument of pre-accession assistance IPA, and in particular of its specific features related to Serbia, as potential candidate country, speakers explained more carefully the different intervention's domains ruled by IPA, from infrastructures, to energy and institution and capacity building.

During this meeting, Arco Adriatico Ionico Association has been presented in its golas and principal project areas, highlighting the important role that can perform the local institutions - in this case Provinces - supporting the path to the European Union of candidate and potential candidate countries.

The chance to be supported by the Italian Cooperation's structures in these countries, not only to find loca partners, but also to know better the country with which cooperates, represents an opportunity of which Arco will draw on in the next future to carry out its activities.
